This house was inspired by the client’s vision and their willingness to let me explore my world of Jappalachian. The site was quite challenging in that we had to build the driveway site wall before we could even enter the site to commence work. The typical request these days is for the master on the main, but that has consequences as the main level grows and the program needs for the other floors decreases nets a lopsided program. In this case, the clients are in great physical shape and understood the savings of having the bedroom below the main floor (this is truly a massive savings). Beyond that the client had fabulous taste and we collaborated to stunning results. Enjoy!
